We don’t need to raise the voting age (I’ve met plenty of idiots over the age of 21). We need to make people pass a citizenship test first (including material from civics 101, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and other basic stuff); if you can 1)prove you are a legit citizen and not a convicted felon and 2)pass the test, then you may vote. Oh, and the test should be in English (if my ancestors could learn it, the latest bunch of immigrants can too). Of course, if had my way, nobody would get a high school diploma until they have a 12th grade reading level, proficiency in English, proficiency in math (to include basic algebra and geometry), proficiency in civics (i.e. understanding that the right to pursue happiness is not the same as a right to achieve happiness), and at least a modicum of proficiency in the sciences (physics, biology, chemistry). Hey, I can dream, can’t I? Heck, I’d be happier if college grads were held to that standard.

No, we need to raise the voting age up to 30. That gives the college brainwashed idiots a few years to live in the real world before they get to make decisions of national impact. Having 19 year olds decide questions of national importance makes as much sense as having 6 year old girls serve as community police officers.

60% thought the three branches were: :
The “Kitchen branch” (charged with shopping, cooking, cleaning up, etc.),
The “Laundry branch” (self explanitory, yet no less mysterious), and
the”Economic branch” (charged with paying all utilities, fuel, car payments, clothing, allowance and miscellaneous living-like-I don’t-live-in-your-basement expenses. Which, with the wisdom of Obamacare now included my insurance almost until I qualify for medicare).

This 60% also responded that they are Very Likely to vote for Obama in 2016.

A poll taken of Hahvid undergrads said that the three branches were "Pine, Maple, and the Larch." Oh, and Jim, unless you're including the transgendered in the survey, mamas don't have "branches".

In another poll, the same 60% said that the three branches of government are “the North Pole”, “the flying reindeer” and “the jolly old elf”.

I thought that they were “the mama branch”, “the papa branch”, and “the little-bitty baby branch”.

Ha ha, I think I need to see this second poll…

Unfortunately, those just graduating high school don’t know any better. They haven’t had the opportunity to be exposed to both sides of the coin or form their own opinions. They grow up having the desire for “more government” thrust down their throat by liberal friends, family, and their educators.
