Which is a great idea. If they’ve also committed a crime.

We have had that in effect in Connecticut for years, along with background checks through NCIC…sure did stop all gun violence here!

Whenever something goes wrong, legislators rush to enact a “fix.” Except when it’s government that’s broken, in which case they have no desire to get involved.

I have a better idea:
We should embed GPS locators into the skulls of those running for office so we can be sure they are not likely to commit crimes while in office. We could also mandate that they are kept under video and audio surveillance at all times night and day to make sure they aren’t taking bribes or otherwise screwing the public.
That sounds fair to me.

But demanding people voting or applying for welfare even show some form of real ID is RACIST! People on welfare being allowed to vote does far more damage to the country than every gun ever made.

Will I have to register my NAIL GUNS and my Caulking Gun? Will I need a permit to buy roofing nails for my Comp Gun? Or are high velocity projectile launching tools exempt from this contagious idiocy?

Maybe gov. O’mally should have politicians in the People’s Democratic Republic of Maryland also fingerprinted. After all they are the largest organized group of criminals and crackpots in the state so it would be great if they could keep a handle on them. Also I’m sure the governor wouldn’t be adverse to having all security personel in the state unarmed. After all once all the legal guns are taken away I’m sure the PDRM criminals would come in and surrender their weapons when asked nicely.
You know they don’t even report on murders in the city of Baltimore anymore unless they are particularly heinous. It’s just an everyday thing including Christmas and Easter.
