   I’m not sure where they got the figure 30,000. There are only about 10,000 gun deaths per year in the US. On the other hand, Planned Parenthood does 300,000 abortions per year.

   That includes the 20,000 rednecks who die riding shotgun and whack their heads on mailboxes on back roads mailbox hunts.

   Joel, I think that 10,000 figure is the total number of murders in the US. I may be wrong, though. (It wouldn’t be the first time, after all, I got married once.) Just a factoid you might want to know: last year there were around 350 murders committed with semi-auto rifles like the AR-15 and AK-47. There were over 600 murders committed where the weapon of choice was a hammer.

   Clarification: I’m assuming that the Teddy Bear is not implying children’s deaths due to firearms.
