* The word for “yes” in Oklahoma is “okidoki” which is from the Cherokee word meaning “Appalachian hillbilly lost on the plains.”

* The Okefenokee Swamp, originally spelled “Okidokifenokee” started out in Oklahoma but visiting Georgian hillbillies liked it so much they stole it and moved it to Georgia.

* Obviously, they were smart enough to change the name to the modern spelling.

* Most Americans think Kansas City is in Kansas. Likewise, Oklahoma City is in Missouri.
