Hershey Chocolate Company booked on out out Hershey some years back. I don't know if any one in Hershey remembers how to make chocolate. Still it was the Chocolate Capital of the world in years past. That must mean something!

Pennsylvania is tri-polar. West Pa (Pittsburgh) and East PA (Philly) are massive liberal bastions while central PA is almost normal. (Almost normal = Harrisburg is in central PA which pulls down the normalcy curve.)

Pennsylvania slopes west to east. Taxes are raised in Pittsburgh and sent to Philly. (Where they go to support the worst schools in the world. But that's a different story.) All Pa taxes are sent to Harrisburg and then on to Philly. Clueless Pittsburghers wonder how it is that they can raise 50% of all PA taxes and only get 25% of its benefits. Nobody ever said Pittsburgh liberals were among the genius class.

Love to pay taxes? Pitt and Philly are in the top five most taxed USA cities.

Pittsburgh has some of the finest hospitals and universities in America. It's a shame it's a union bastion anti-capitalism city who can't even keep it own children home. Pitt gives it kids the best health care (well it will until Obama Care takes over) and best education. But it is a old school union / liberal breading ground whos leading lights love to drive out job creators. Beware, some migrating kids are infected and actually believe in 'the benefits' of union and liberalism activism. Think of them as vampires-to-be.

Some leading PA political lowlifes:
Past Pa Govenor, Ed (The Union Thug) Rendell. Ed is best known as mans man when it came to eating. 23% of the Pa budget went to Eds diet via his personal chef. Ed is less well know as one of Al Gores hit men sent to Florida to kill/hide/invalidate/make-invisible the Presidential absentee ballets sent in by American Warriors. Rumors that Ed ate hundreds of Republican ballots are unsubstantiated.

'Snarling Arlen', Arlen Spector (Pa Senator) who is best know as being the worst of both political parties. He is the only man to have been both a RINO and a DINO and to have been rejected at the end by both parties. Way to go Arlen, a new low for Pa!

Then there is the good old boy from the 'Little Washington area' (Washington Pa - borders on WV and acts like it). Proving that there is an exception to every rule that "There are no Ex-Marines". Ex-Marine John (Corruption is my middle name) Murtha. Murtha told StuffingEnvelopes (on 'This Week with George Stephanopoulos") that a group of U.S. Marines have killed 24 Iraqi civilians in cold blood in a war crime worse than Abu Ghraib. Evidence since has proved the charge 100% factious. But facts don't matter when a liberal needs monkey butt face time. And Murthas face was The-Monkey-Butt face of all time. Murtha trivia: It's not true that the John Murtha Airport has no air traffic. Their boast is that they have short security lines is in fact correct. Almost zero traffic = short security lines. At tax payer expense thanks to Murtha.

On a positive and militarly uplifting note...The military reach of the English forces (French & Indian War) stationed in New York, Philly and Pitt determined the border location for what is now the USA and Canada. Historical fact! Go (Fort) Pitt!

Pennsylvania, like most of the country, has four seasons. Except here in PA, they're called Summer, Almost Winter, Winter, and Still Winter.

Truck drivers coming from another state can tell when they've crossed the PA border by the size of our potholes.

Great moments in PA history: Ben Franklin's kite experiment in Philadelphia, the Battle of Gettysburg, the Dark Knight Rises being filmed in Pittsburgh.

There are many churches in PA, as we Pennsylvanians tend to cling to God and guns... unless the Steelers are playing.

Pennsylvania is one of the few, sad states where liquor is only sold at state-run liquor stores, meaning Walmart isn't one stop shopping for us when all we want is a shotgun and a bottle of scotch.
