JFK had a file going back to his time as a USNR ensign at the start of WW II. (And J. Edgar Hoover never tired of reminding him of it)

JFK initially was 4-F (underweight, anemic, one leg shorter than the other), but after a crash bulk-up diet, molded orthotics, and some maneuvering by John McCormack, he was given a Reserve/Limited-Duty commission and a sinecure billet with ONI in DC. It was during this time, working as an office clerk, 9-5, that he met an attractive girl who said her name was “Greta” and she was a refugee from Denmark. The two began going steady, and nearly got engaged. What Ensign JFK didn’t know was that Greta was also seeing an Army 1st Lieu assigned to a staff position. Said Army guy was under FBI surveillance. JFK was seen exiting “Greta’s” apartment as the Lieu was going in the window. Greta was actually Inga Arvad, a recruit of the Nazi Schutzstaffeln, and when J.Edgar (who had no love for anything Kennedy), heard that the ambassador’s son was having assignations with an SS agent, he couldn’t get to the White House fast enough to show FDR what was going on. FDR called Joe Kennedy up from Palm Beach to inform Joe about what the FBI had discovered. Contact by a Navy officer, with a foreign spy, during time of war, was not the best thing to have on a service record. Roosevelt, and Hoover, made this clear to Joe Kennedy when the three of them met the next day. After much pleading, and burning of political chits, it was arranged for the young ensign to be rotated out of DC and down to the tail-end of the world to skipper a low-rated PT boat crew.

Coming off of a jungle-juice hangover, the crew had to head out on a night patrol for Japanese navy boats. Somehow the skipper and his crew got the much lighter-and maneuverable- PT boat athwart a larger, slower, Jap cruiser, which cut the PT boat in half. Leading to the legend of PT 109. Highly abridged.

…It wouldn’t take the F.B.I. to track Hanoi Jane’s ties to communism, and there’s no “suspected” about it…She, herself, said she was involved in “small c-communism”. I have a big C word for her, however, being that I am a lady, I will leave it as an inference.

I’m not sure Marilyn even knew what a communist was. When you look like that you don’t have to. Hanoi Jane did not have that to fall back on. She knew exactly what a communist looked like, she saw it everyday in the mirror.

So, while the FBI checked to see if she was a commie, JFK & RFK were checking to see if she was a slut. Isn’t it great when government works together for the good of the country? This explains why they needed to kill her, damn commie slut! I guess Jane was just a commie so they let her live.
