Currently platinum is selling at $1,629.00 US Dollars per oz. It’s gonna take a pretty good sized coin to have a face value of 1T. On the other hand if our creditors are stupid enough to buy into it, why mint it. However, anyone really think the Chinese are that stupid?

In about 20 years we’ll all be spending trillion dollar coins, so they might as well get a jump on it. Might as well have a donkey on one side and Obama on the other. Though no one will be able to figure out which is tails.

So, Michael Moore’s decades in the making scheme to become a standard unit of measuring weight is close to fruition. I’m sure the 50 or 60 extra coins minted will be safely stored just in case the one circulated gets lost because it is just crazy talk to suggest Obama might have use for more than one.

The trillion dollar coin might be neat because it might have Scrooge McDuck on the front. Either that, or the Monopoly guy. But it would ultimately be our undoing, because The Joker, The Riddler and The Penguin would join forces and steal it.
