Brought to You By the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
A new report shows that only 5% of highway funds were used to build new roads.
I’m guessing the other 95% went to road signs patting Obama on the back for building them.

It’s too bad that that’s just straight, unembellished news, with nothing funny about it.

I suppose that’s okay since, as a nation, we’re on a road to nowhere, anyway.

The other 95% of the funds no doubt went to Democratic Party supporters to form a paid committee to decide where to use the 5%.

That would make those the “signs of the times.”

Around here, they used it to take down the big green highway signs, put in new concrete footings and put them back up 20 feet from where they used to be. it took almost a year to do about 5 miles worth. I was working in liberal land at the time so I’d see it every day and I’d say stuff about it to my Obama voting customers, they didn’t understand what was wrong with doing it. I would love to know how you can be smart enough to have a job that can pay a $900,000 mortgage and not see why moving a sign at a cost of probably $50,000 per sign, at least, is blatant corruption at a level never before seen. Oh now i remember, because republicans are against abortion.

Jud Gregg said it best after the American Reinvestment Act (or whatever they called that wreck of a bailout). He pointed out that after insisting that all this money was needed to fix roads and bridges, they spent the money on signs telling us that projects were because of the bailout. Then when people complained about the signs, they started to use money to take them down. You can’t make this stuff up.
