No 8… Years ago I took my best friend deer hunting on doe days. He used a Marlin in 45-70. The results ae as you described.

10…. An in-law just two years ago was rammed by a deer while riding his Harley on the Blue Ridge Parkway. He was in the hospital six months. A deer is nothing to fool with.

With all the driving I’ve done over the years, I’ve never hit a deer. I did have one hit me, though. Came bounding out of the woods, jumped a fence, and ran smack dab into the front passenger door on my car. Sh*t all over the side if the car. Then, got up an ran back into the woods. I hope the SOB died.

Hunting Bambi with a 45-120? Damn, somebody isn’t interested in having anything left for dinner.

Racoons lost their aww cute status when I had to pay the vet nearly $1000 to put the dog back together. I like the EZ-100 tanning kit, two of those raccoons now decorate my desk at work.

@#1 Jimmy, my little girl was the typical “Daddy don’t kill the cute raccoon!” type, as most little girls are. Until the day that a raccoon killed three of her prized young chickens. Daddy was given, in no uncertain terms and using language that made Daddy secretly proud, carte blanche to execute every &$@@$?!!$& one of them, with extreme prejudice. License to kill. Daddy happily complied. Quietly.
