Theoretically, as long as you have person with an (R) next to their name in congress, it lets you pass more conservative bills than if the conservative loses the election to someone with a (D) next to their name. Sadly, conservatives can’t win every election but middle-right republicans occasionally can.

Granted, I don’t believe this about the presidency, but it works for smaller races on occasion.

McCain isn’t a moderate republican. He is a friggin’ LIBERAL who took a crap on the Republican Party every chance he could for 30+ years. Need I mention that McCain-Feingold was sponsored and funded by George Soros? And then there was the McCain-Kennedy Immigration Reform and then the damned McCain-Lieberman Climate Change Legislation….

Saying that McCain is a ‘Moderate Republican’ is like claiming that Ron is a Republican. They are both friggin’ RINOs. McCain IS a Liberal and Ron Paul IS a kook LiberalTarian who wants to legalize prostitution and all drugs.

and finally Romney did lost. The left never won that election legally. Obama was never legally elected.

Of course Karl Rove is right that moderates are much more likely to win elections. That’s why Presidents McCain and Romney won such sweeping victories.

The Republican Party has been taken over, just as the Democrat Party was. The present GOP leadership and their surrogates need to be removed and replaced by Conservative TEA Party Patriots. We have to regain control of our Country but we first have to regain control of our Party.

The POINT is to WIN!

Take Ronald Reagan for instance, compared to Jimmy Carter (and his gang liberal extremists) Reagan was a MODERATE. That’s why Reagan won 44 states in 1980.

Then when the John Birch Society and Libertarians (and the Liberals) started calling Reagan a Facsist, a Nazi, a Commie, a warmonger, ect.. Ronald Reagan was the more MODERATE choice. That’s why Reagan won 49 states in 1984. Are you seeing a pattern develop yet?

Ronald Reagan was a DEMOCRAT most of his life. And he appealed to so many DEMOCRATS in 1980 and 1984 that they had to come up with a NEW word to describe this confusing phenomenon. The REAGAN DEMOCRATS voted for Reagan because compared to the other choices available (Carter, Mondale, Ron Paul, the Birchers) at that time Reagan was the only MODERATE!

Now before everyone shuns me for being “one” of them, and comes at me with pitch forks and dinosaurs with rocket launchers, let me just say I am not a Ron Paul fan, but a fan of Ron Paul’s message.

The so called conservatives villainized the true conservatives in the last presidential race which were Ron Paul and Gary Johnson. People like carlrove have become as big of laughing stocks as algore and joeybiDEN. The Republican party has a decision it needs to make. Will it be viable and one that represents real Americans, or will it be moderate and be the party of cry baby house speakers and bed wetting senate minority leaders? Apparently they have chosen the later.

So the term everything in moderation should only apply to beer, bar B-Q, and skydiving. It should never apply to conservatism, capitalism, guns, or bacon.

If Republicans are going to take us where the Dems are, but at a slower pace, what good are they? Charles Krauthammer and a number of others have pointed out Barack wants to destroy the Republicans. Going after the NRA is just another huge conservative voting block that must be divided/destroyed.

I assume this would be the same Karl Rove who, late into election night, assured us that Mitt Romney was winning the 2012 presidential election? Sorry, Karl, but you’ve jumped the shark. Time to pack up and go home.
