Or the LAPD running from their units to gun shops during the bank shoot out in February of 1997. To get Bushmasters and Steyr AUGs to be equally gunned against robbers with body armor, trauma plates and semi auto AKs. Because their issued sidearms and shotguns weren’t cutting it. Or that the LAPD considered issuing Bushmasters along with shotguns for its non SWAT police units immediately afterward.

The guy did make a couple of mistakes. One the commentator made mention of assault weapons. The gentleman proceeded to tell him that was a media-coined term, that assault rifles were fully automatic weapons. (Correct so far) The commentator then proceeded to say they had been used in recent mass shootings, and Mr. Morgan did not correct the lib. No automatic weapons were used in any of the mass shootings.
Again, toward the end of the clip, Mr. Morgan said something along the lines of “if you ban assault weapons…” thereby conceding to the lib that these weapons were, indeed, assault weapons suitable for military use. Besides, the M1 Garand was a military weapon, but was not an “assault rifle”, and I’d give the lib’s eye teeth for a good M1.

I think ‘to protect and to serve ” is just LAPD and clearly that’s just the motto of the police union. It’s referring to the fact that the police protect and serve their own interests. Ever notice that “cop killers” get special treatment beyond killers of regular people?

If the cops are so good at protecting people to the point that nobody else needs a gun, why does anyone ever get shot? Half the time, when they have the chance to put an end to people like that freak in Colorado, they don’t because even they are afraid of shooting someone because they might get sued/fired etc. Now we have to watch the guy get off because he’s “insane”, all the more reason to kill him on the spot, end of problem. Instead, all these nuts who don’t off themselves get to become “famous” and they love every minute of it.

Just something that I happened to notice, every time the police arrive at a scene to “protect” someone, there is a citizen there first that could use that weapon to defend himself. Who is first on the scene, the person without the gun that now has to wait on the po-po to finish the donuts and come save them – and they roll up with AR or M16s, sure would make more sense for the person in need to have that weapon instead of waiting on it.

The fact that every 2A infringement (except this new one in NY) exempts the police is an admission that gun control doesn’t work. If it did then the police wouldn’t need high capacity magazines or modern rifles, since no one else would have them either. Of course, I think the left gave up pretending this was about safety, crime and public protection long ago. It’s about control.
