As much as I’d like to get one, I cannot and for what I think is a very good reason :
Years ago I had a local P D officer attached the B&E squad hereabouts tell me to Never, Ever put any gun-type stuff on your vehicle.
Those that ‘want your stuff’ see it/them, figure that you got what they want, and follow you home, to pillage [it] at their convienience.
The result is that, then you do not ‘have your stuff ‘ anymore and all you’re left with is the knowledge that your sticker still ‘looks cool’ on your bumper.
Keep ‘that thing’ offin’ your house as well……….

@6 – Although I believe a cop told you that, I’m not sure I believe the cop. I’ve seen too many debunked Snopes rumors about “bad guys following you home from gas stations” to think this is a common occurrence.
Doesn’t hurt to be prudent, and I suppose it depends on the neighborhoods you frequent. Where I’m at, though, I suspect thieves would be more likely to take it as a warning than an invitation.
After all, what if they were mistaken about you not being at home when they broke in. High risk, low payoff.
