To backtrack a little, to even before this graphic, sequestration came about because Obama wanted to raise taxes during the “Fiscal Cliff” fiasco —
Give us increased spending and revenue now, he said, and we’ll make spending cuts later on.
Republicans for the umpteenth time foolishly agreed.
Drawing one of those famous “red lines” in the sand, Obama said that if a bipartisan deal could not be reached on these cuts, the sequester would kick in, being a second red line that he would never, ever flinch from enacting.
It’s odd: in the rare event that my daughter (3 years old today, thank you thank you) hears Obama speak, she focuses on him and then seems to employ stronger tantrum techniques after. I guess she’s learning from the best.
Okay so how come Reagan fired most every air traffic controller for going on strike and there was no mass chaos or disruptions of service. Yet Obama gets a slight cut to his ability to increase spending and it’s the end of the world with major disruptions of service at the nation’s airports.
YGDFTYLTATSOTE! The idiot in chief was also overheard saying something along the lines of “and make it hurt” when discussing the sequester cuts. I suggest we help him with that. He and his administration should take a 50% pay cut. No more vacations on the taxpayer dime, no more speaking engagements, if he wants to talk he should take a regular flight. No more private schools for the “girls” and no more spring breaks to Vail. They can go to DC schools and the one right there closest to the WH.
Once that’s done no more aid of any kind to any country harboring terrorist of any size, shape or variety. From Iran to Nepal, from Ireland to Indonesia not one thin dime. And no more going into countries who hate us to solve their problems. We have enough problems here. Our money stays here but we’re more than willing to send former members of the obama administration to be observers and consultants……….but once you get them you have to keep them or find someone else stu………..ah I mean desperate enough to take them.
