Wanted: Political Metaphor

[YouTube direct link] (Viewer #566,182)

I’m only posting this because it seems like a clever lifehack, but I suspect there’s a political metaphor in here somewhere.

Anyone wanna take a shot at it before the thieving libertarians come and steal your eggs? [HA! Bacon to me!]

  1. “Wanted: Political Metaphor”
    Request granted.
The fist trying to grab the egg is gun control legislation, the egg-white is second amendment freedoms, and the guy blowing the egg-white out of the fist’s grasp is that dude from Defense Distributed that invented a plastic pistol that can be downloaded from the internet.

Two for the price of one: The Republican and Democratic parties are respectively Little Endians and Big Endians, arguing over which end to start peeling apart the Constitution; whether they should start with social or economic liberties first.

Before people start hating in the comments on metaphor #2, note I took a swipe at the parties. While I often find myself agreeing with Conservatives, I find it difficult to say the same about either of the parties.

    Almost forgot! YGDFT!YLRATSOTE!!

  2. … Obameggcare passed the Senate in shell legislation, and they had to spit it out in order to find out what was in it.

… Democrats are like this guy: the complete opposite of Cool Hand Luke.

  3. It looks great but getting a cooked egg out of the shell really depends on how the egg was cooked in the first place. Cook it wrong and you can blow forever without the egg popping out. Spin that into your metaphor!

  4. Has anyone tried this yet? Does it work on really, really fresh eggs? (We had a backyard chicken for years, and the fresher the egg, the more impossible it was to peel the dang thing after boiling. Next Easter, buy your eggs AT LEAST a week in advance. Two weeks is better – eggs take a long time to spoil. Wait ’til Holy Saturday to boil and color them, and the shells will fall off easily when the eggs are peeled.) (Hints from Not!-Heloise.) (Also Not! a crackpot.)

  5. I read or saw something that said that this works if you boil the eggs with some baking soda, causes the shells to not adhere to the eggs.
Baking soda does not seem to work in making government work any better though, and it still smells.
