If they are being paid for quality of service then I think many of them would be luck to get paid at all. Every time my drive through order is screwed up, which is the majority of the time, I just tell myself “there is a reason they are working there and not someplace that might pay them more” but get a union involved and all of a sudden the quality of your work has no connection to what you are paid. Business owner loses, customer loses and–when the business finally fails–the employees all lose.
