Wrong Way

Around the nation, 40,000 new state and local laws took effect on January 1st.

Can’t help thinking it would do us all a lot more good if that many had been repealed.

    I remember reading a sci-fi book by Frank Herbert that the main character worked for the Bureau of Sabotage. The idea that the Galactic Governement was passing laws so fast that they just crushed the citizenry. The Bureau had the power to sabotage the workings of governemnt when needed to slow it down. I think we need something similar.
