Have They Considered Hovel-Schooling?

The US spent 5 years and $200 million on a program to teach Afghan soldiers to read, but a new report reveals that effort was a failure.

Shocking. It’s just so hard to imagine a government-funded education system that didn’t work.

Also failing: the Jihad Start program.

Well, obviously they did not throw enough money at the problem. Any time a liberal idea fails it is because the government did not spend enough of the taxpayers’ dollars on the program. Welfare, Headstart, EPA Superfund, Amtrak, GM, Solyndra and other “Green” businesses, you name it. It will work this time if only we spend more money. And if that doesn’t work, double the amount we spend.

Teaching a Muslim country to read will only lead to them reading about Muslim countries, never a good idea and is often treated as a human rights violation.
