Obama Warned Us – Consumer Protection

Posted on February 6, 2014 2:00 pm

We need to give consumers more protection and more power in our financial system. This is not about stifling competition, stifling innovation; it’s just the opposite. With a dedicated agency setting ground rules and looking out for ordinary people in our financial system, we will empower consumers with clear and concise information when they’re making financial decisions.

BARACK OBAMA, speech, Apr. 22, 2010

“My theory is that if we regulate all the banks out of business, that will maximize choice for the consumer, because the easiest decision to make is the one where there’s nothing to decide between.”

    Freedom of choice
    Is what you got
    Freedom from choice
    Is what you want

We will soon have freedom to choose new careers once we lose our full-time jobs due to Obamacare. There will be a lot of freedom to choose new jobs such as street-corner windshield wiping. Exciting opportunities are just around the corner! Instead of just one or two jobs we can have 5 or 6 crappy part-time ones. There’s freedom from having to chose a banking institution since you won’t have the funds to put into it. Total freedom for all!

When has this administration, or the Federal government in general, ever been able to produce anything remotely resembling something that was “Clear and Concise”?

Hmmm, should I sell my EBT card or just use it to take cash out at the ATM to buy my drugs, darn, these financial decisions are tough.

You’ll all like having a policeman following you around a store, giving you clear and concise information on the products you’re thinking of buying.

Store owners will like having the policeman watch how much is being charged at the register, to make sure it’s fair, and to make sure the tax gets paid on the transaction.

Everyone will like the consumer protection racket if we just replace the word “racket” with the word “agency.”

As the FDA, FAA, and CIA found out
