Normally when people damage watermelons, the trauma force goes in one side and out the other (shooting, dropping, sledgehammering).

This time, the explosives are located dead center of the spheroid, and the force expands in all directions equally.

It’s like if 4of7 did a piece called “Exploding Melon in 3D”:
