[High Praise! to Anonymiss of Nuking Politics for the Laura Bush link]

Compare and contrast.

Laura Bush’s fashion choices.

Michelle Obama’s fashion choices.

Are there any inferences that we can legitimately draw from these choices?

Money can’t buy taste. These two black Babbitts think they’re the trend-setters and avatars in everything, but they really only impress readers of supermarket magazines like US and OPRAH.

(Did you see the art they selected for the White House walls? Whatever kitsch is trendy, whatever is the current “hot” artist. In other words, they have no taste of their own.)

  2. Tater Salad says:

Rumor has it that the walls of residence floor of the White House bear an impressive collection of vintage black velvet renditions of Teddy Pendergrass, Sam Cooke, James Brown, and Ray Charles interspersed with signed and numbered prints of the complete works of Andres Serrano.

  3. Janeane Garofalo says:

HEY DUMB WINGNUT TATER!!!!!!MICHELLE OBAMA (FIRST LADY YAYS!!!!) ROCKS THE FASHIONS!!!SHE IS MORE STYLISH THAN THOSE BUSHES!!!!!UGH!!!UGH!!!!UGH!!!!!AND SO WHAT IF THEY LIKE BLACK VELVET ART??? THATS COOL TOO!!! SO WHAT IF THEY ARENT PUTTING UP OLD BORING DEAD WHITE OPPRESSOR SLAVEHOLDER ART ITS NOT THERE CULTURE!!!!!AND ITS NOT ADRES SERRANO DUMMY ITS ROBERT MAPPLETHORPE!!!JEEZE!!!STUPID CLUELESS WINGNUTS!!!!!

  4. Clay Aiken says:

You’re both wrong. Michelle owns some Serrano prints and the President is a big, big fan of Mapplethorpe, but they recently staged an opening of Patrick Nagel and invited some people named Phillip Michael Thomas and Edward James Olmos, who the President called “two of my favorite comtemporary TV detectives” and said that he had “all of their shows on BetaMax”.

Were these guys on NYPD Blue?

Is BetaMax some new videoshare site or something? I’ve never heard of it.
