Alan Greenspan Would Get This Joke

Scientists are saying that there’s no truth to the rumors that a giant underground super-volcano in Yellowstone National Park is about to erupt.

They did, however, say it was an excellent metaphor for Obama printing money to cover the federal debt.

  1. It’s really not that big of a deal. It’s just solid rock raising by 15 cm per year. Now if it were mean sea level rising by half that in a New York Harbor, Al Gore would be in full panic mode and demanding that the ‘little people’ be monetarily punished so he can have more goodies. Further, the last time it blew, it buried the site of present day Rapid City SD (500 miles to the East) under 8 feet of ash. But even South Dakota is only ‘fly over’ country.

    Not Actually A Crack Pot.

  2. Can’t we just barricade the park in protest? Maybe send in 200 armed park rangers to prevent Scientists! from figuring out what is going on? And if IPCC Scientists! can’t report on it then it isn’t real. Right?
