In fact, you can own cannon if they are old enough–made before circa 1890. I learned that on a Pawn Stars episode this week, so I guess that one belongs on the History Channel after all. (The fact that the Armorer has an 1850 something one in his yard was kind of a clue to me too.)
Oh, don’t pin old money to bulletin boards; it really hurts the value of bills if there are holes in it. I saw someone turn down thousands of dollars for an old bill because she thought is was worth tens of thousands. It might have been if it hadn’t had pin holes in it from when she pin it to her bulletin board as a kid.
