New regulations passed by the Sacramento City Council will require taxi drivers in Sacramento to speak English.

The tough part: figuring out how tell the one’s who don’t qualify “you’re fired” so they’ll understand it.

I was gonna say, that the taxi drivers’ reply was “You loquan at me?”
until I saw the definition at urbandictionary.com, and realize it could be misconstrued (Adult Content warning),
for which I feel both an apology and a chuckle to myself are warranted.

“you’re fired” might translate that you want to set them on fire.

I guess someone on the Sacramento City Council takes cabs. They certainly wouldn’t care otherwise.
