Oh wow, Harvey, a tar baby reference.

Is the Ministry of Love coming to see you now?

@1 – I finally got to see “Song of the South” a couple months ago. I didn’t find it offensive. It was set during the Reconstruction era, so I thought the characters were reasonably portrayed for the period. Much like the characters in “Tom Sawyer” or “Huckleberry Finn” were appropriate to their period.

Well, yeah, I didn’t find it offensive either. If you think about, Uncle Remus is as much a source of wisdom as Uncle Jesse on the Dukes of Hazard or Jed Clampett on the Beverly Hillbillies.

And how did you find a copy of Song of the South?

@3 CCO – Let’s just call it “a shadowy corner of the internet where good men fear to tread”, and leave it at that…
