From WC:

(Obscury!) [I was told it’s a play on a line from an old MST3K episode, “We’re rocks and we’re smarter than the actors in this movie”, but Google gives me nothing. Can any MST3K fans at least tell me what movie they were riffing?]

This week’s uncaptioned picture for you to play with:

That’s Barack with a life-size cardboard cut-out of Michelle.

WC – so obscure, even Google can’t find it.

#1: When creating lolbama! pictures, please caption with either black or white text, as colors like red and yellow tend to blur badly when I compress the images.

#2: Standard image size for these posts is 350px wide by whatever high. If you can have your images 350px wide before you caption them, I won’t end up shrinking your captions into illegibility when I re-size the images.

MAKE YOUR OWN: The free lolbuilder from I Can Has Cheezburger.

STYLE NOTE: Short captions are usually better. Your goal is 10 words or less, with humor value tending to increase exponentially as the number of words approaches 1.

IMAGE SOURCES: Lots of great Obama pics to be found at the White House Flickr page.

Send your submissions to and – if they aren’t obscene (IMAO is a PG-13 site) and don’t suck too terribly bad – I’ll post them for you. Remember to include your name (and blog URL, if applicable) so I know who to thank.

Big smile on BHO’s face in last picture. The quiet! The sweet, sweet quiet.

Thought this might be Hercules Against the Moon Men because of the stone men. (If you’re a Marvel Comics fan, they looked kinda like the Stone Men From Saturn. There’s one in Thor 2. We digress.) Checked a copy of that MST3K episode, FF’ed to relevant scenes. Didn’t hear the line. Somewhere else, then.

I’m the one who submitted the quote. Since I can’t remember the movie title, here’s what I do remember: the movie was B&W, very s-l-o-w story, not science fiction. The scene was a panning shot of all the characters, possible sleeping outside, with a long gap between two shots of people that was filled by a rocky hillside; the quip was said during that gap.

This line has entered my family’s vernacular.
