Random Thoughts: Free Speech and Mugshots

Posted on August 20, 2014 9:15 am

We still have free speech in this country. You just might have to speak while a guy in body armor points a rifle at you. For your safety.

For all we white people knew, black people were perfectly happy. In their neighborhood over there. The one we avoid.

What is the practical need for the mugshot? Are they afraid they’ll grab the wrong guy, thinking he’s the governor?

Bureaucracy demands that the proper paperwork be filed in triplicate. But that’s not even why. It’s a part of the humiliation process. Most people—were they not the governor—would suffer further humiliation by being forced to strip bend and spread. This entire farce falls under the category: If they can they will.

    I’m in Kafkafornia. Take my governor… please…

I saw Rick Perry’s mugshot, with the sly smile that says “you just made me the frontrunner for 2016, bitch. Suck it.”
