Democrat Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro is seeking a national tax on sugar-sweeted drinks.

Is she SURE she wants to do that? Because, historically speaking, efforts at beverage taxes in America tend to end badly for the proposer.

Here in Connecticut we, like most other states, pay a sales tax on many food items which have been deemed to be lacking nutrition, including soda. Therefore, a federal tax added would mean paying the state tax on top of, and inclusive of, the federal tax-as we do for gasoline. Unfortunately I do not live in the part of the state where I can vote to get this idiot and her Pelosi admiration out of office.

We can only hope, as it stands she will die in office and maybe not leave even then.

I’m in Larson’s district, only slightly better.
