Second Verse, Same As the First

Posted on August 6, 2014 8:00 am

During his weekly radio address, President Obama said “every worker deserves to know that if you lose your job, your country will help you train for an even better one.”

…that Obamacare will also take away.

Because keeping you from losing it in the first place is too hard, we’d have to let evil corporations keep their profits so they can afford to keep you employed. That’s not fair to people who pay no taxes….or something like that.

How about starting with the x million people who’ve NEVER had a job…in generations? “Training” them to push a broom or pick vegetables shouldn’t take that long.

@1 NO_MO_BAMA – Funny thing about “job training” programs… a lot of what the chronically unemployed need isn’t skills, it’s character. All they need to learn to hold a job is how to show up on time, show up every day, not steal stuff from work, and not swear at the customers.

Which is apparently more than they can handle.

I worked on a job run by a guy who was one of the most stereotype liberal pukes I’ve ever met. (attended anti-war Bush rallies in DC)
He hired an inner city yot who was literally too stupid to sweep a floor. That is about as low on the skill ladder as you can get. He was also a perfect example of what you just described. The last straw was the day mom called and asked if he could take a “personal day” after 2 weeks, not once showing up on time it at all.
and he was getting paid $15/hr! in 2006.
$10 less than me, doing high end finish work on an 1820 $5 million mansion. Probably the same as some of the other guys working there.

The liberal walked in on me listening to Rush one day, I’ve never seen a dirty look like the one he gave me, ever. I wasn’t working for him much longer.

GAO Report Reveals Not Just Mere Duplication, But Unbridled Idiocy
    Townhall.com | March 3, 2011 | Michael Reagan

Uncle Sam is spending a lot of your tax dollars on programs that do the exact same thing as other federal programs, and you are paying the tab, a shocking new report shows.

According to a report by the watchdog Government Accounting Office (GAO), Uncle Sam hosts 47 job-training programs, 44 of which do the same things. The federal government also runs 80 programs for what it calls the “transportation disadvantaged.” Count ‘em: 80 — paid for by your tax dollars.

The report cites a total of 82 other programs spread across 10 separate agencies that are supposed to improve what it calls “teacher quality” — something of concern to local school districts and not Uncle Sam. It’s a classic example of the left hand not being aware of what the right hand is doing, and it’s costing us, the taxpayers, untold billions of our tax dollars.

I agree with penny-wise Republican Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., who was outraged by the scandals uncovered in the report and has vowed “to get our fiscal house in order’ saying “Now again, we have said enough is enough ….”

An equally outraged Oklahoma GOP senator, Tom Coburn, said the report “confirms what most Americans assume about their government. We are spending trillions of dollars every year and nobody knows what we are doing. The executive branch doesn’t know. The congressional branch doesn’t know. Nobody knows.”

The GAO report was mandated by Congress the last time it raised the debt limit in January 2010. Coburn said the report makes lawmakers look like “jackasses.”

“We don’t know what we’re doing,” Coburn said.

Job Training= Hey, you, the one who thinks the world owes you an existence, well guess what, it doesn’t! Report to Acme Bean Farm at 7am and EARN your money like everyone who’s forced to give it to you.

If they don’t do it, oh well, natural selection, just like the good old days.
