Some legal experts are currently wrestling with the question of whether a robot can be considered a legal person.

  1. I think we need to make a distinction here between “Robot” and “Artificial Intelligence”.

    Does this mean that a robot that doesn’t make it off the factory floor has been Aborted?

      Yes, and the manufacturing machine parent has full rights to abort at any time prior to complete separation and autonomy. The wishes of any humans who designed the “products of engineering” and initiated the manufacturing process are irrelevant.
