I think they’re actually lauding the fact that he’s a Dem in Republican Armani. Why oh why would we elect someone like this?
Can’t wait to see Fred! skewer the competition in the next debate.
I liked the ad. As for the gay issue, I’d rather be friends with a gay Republican than a pro-death RINO any day. I know many people think that a “gay conservative” is a contradiction of terms, but at least they’re honest about their (ahem) position (Larry Craig notwithstanding…lol).
You’re smokin’ something. You mean Paul vs. Kucinich in ’08, right?
Beter yet: shut down the Fed. and let’s let the States run things for a while. That’s the way it used to be, anyway.
Wow, its gotta be rough for Romney to get pounded by the Log Cabin folks…
Da dum dum!
Seriously, at this point, I would probably be alright with a benevolent dictator whose sole purpose was to dissolve the current congress, disband all lobbying organizations and take the whole federal government back to its glorious foundation: The American Constitution. Re-elect NEW Representatives (ones that would work for the people, rather than themselves), and clean up the entire Judicial system.
Guess the problem with folks who are empowered to do these things is their historical reluctance to give up the power. Sigh

Yo!
And I don’t think Log Cabin is saying all these positions are good, just pointing out that Romney’s not to be trusted to keep consistent. He used the LCR to help his senate campaign in MA in ’94, and then proceeded to dump on us when running for Pres. Basically, he comes off as a huge political opportunist.
There’s support for Reagan’s ideals in LCR (and a lot of Goldwaterism, as well as a strong libertarian streak), but the main focus is gay rights, not these other things (on which there is room for disagreement). I think the lack of inclusion of Romney’s old positive statements on gay rights with these things was intentional to a degree, so that it wasn’t associated with these other ideals, generally seen as bad by conservatives.
But on a lighter note: DAMN RIGHT, YOU DON’T WANT TO P**S US OFF, FRANK!! RAR!!
All I can say is;
FRED!!
LOL, it was only a matter of time before the “confused conservative” ads started. I’m glad FRED isn’t confused.
AIC
Um, you guys might be missing something: he didn’t anger the gays, I think the gays are actually saying those qualities are a GOOD thing in the ad…

The Log Nabbers are a confused group, and aren’t afraid to spend money to display this fact.

No doubt unconfused Fred! will dominate the debate with his stunning oratorical clarity! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JztzcqlkndM
