Shriveled little gnome Dennis Kucinich is going to introduce articles of impeachment against Dick Cheney. I fully support this because I think it will be hilarious since the Constitution says that Cheney would get to preside over his own trial. That would be awesome.
Maybe if we all support the impeachment of Cheney, we can get Kucinich and his crazies to support us impeaching President Hillary (if she’s elected). We’ll just tell him that Hillary is for shooting down all UFOs and he’ll scream, “No! They’re my friends!” and join us in our effort.
That’s how you build a coalition people. You have to learn this if you want to play politics with the big boys.
I didn’t realize that there were even any proceedures outlined in the constitution for impeaching the VP. I always figured it fell under Article XIV’s “Why Bother?” clause.
Since the dems are all excited about impeaching officials for which there is no precedent or firm proceedure for impeaching, I think they should try to impeach Laura Bush. If they were to impeach and convict the First Lady, would the President be required by law to divorce her? It would definitely set an important precedent if Hillary gets elected President, because it would give us the opportunity to impeach Bill again.

This presents a great opportunity, if you think about it. Cheney sits as judge. So, the first thing he does is hold all the democrats in contempt of court and has the police haul them off. All they are given to drink is Jim Jones’ secret recipe for koolaid. Those that survive the flight go to one of the CIA secret prisons, where rendition occurs. Personally, I would love to see Ted Kennedy naked, on all fours, with a dog leash around his neck. Er, on second thought, maybe not……….
Am I the only one getting the tone that you may think Hillary WILL be president? Things are getting a little scary with that kind of talk around here.

Please forgive me for injecting this. I know it’s a humor blog, but I just can’t help myself.
Article 103 of the Senate Rules says the Chief Justice shall preside if either the President fo teh Vice President shall be tried under articles of impeachment.
Since the Constitution only specifies the CJ to preside over a President’s trial and is silent regarding any other position as well as stating that the Houses may make their own rules of procedure, there’s no Constitutional issue here.
