The Supreme Court Nominee

Obama is going to have to appoint a new member of the Supreme Court, and now we need to decide how big a deal we’ll want to make out of it. In all likelihood, Obama is going to pick someone we wouldn’t even want as an American citizen if we had a choice, but since he or she is replacing Stevens it won’t change the make up of the court. It’s pretty much standard now we have four Justices who are like, “The Constitution is an actual thing? I thought it was an intangible concept like happiness.”

I say we make a big deal for these reasons:

1. Politically news has been slow lately, so we have nothing better to do.
2. It should be a big deal when the Constitution is ignored, even if it happens a lot.

So how should we make a big deal?

I know: Civil war. Let’s get so angry about Obama’s pick that we like split up the Union and attack the other side. But we won’t make the same mistakes as the Confederacy as we’ll force the other side to leave the Union so they’ll be in the wrong and we’ll be justified attacking them. Also, we’ll not have slaves.

Again, probably not amount to anything in the end and Obama will get his nominee who will mistake the Constitution for vintage toilet paper, but it could be fun.

  1. Well, if it comes to civil war, our side will certainly be better armed than those pantywaist liberal nancies. As long as we don’t have to fight the actual U.S. military, I like our chances.

All we need to do is convince the military to support our side (I give us 30-70 odds atm), and it’ll be over in a matter of days.

  2. No need for war yet, it’s not really such a big thing. Obama will simply replace one liberal ideologue with another…so it’s going to be a wash. It’s when he gets a chance to replace a conservative justice that the country and those who believe in the constitution are going to get screwed.

  3. -I have heard eluded too that the pentagon was full of far-left useful idiots like the state department? If so could the military function without them?

-The left cares about the first amendment and the right cares about the second then, I may or may not care about the fifth but I couldn’t possibly say at this time.

-If we re-asserted Federalism then the supreme court, white house, DC bureaucratic establishment etc.. all lose their nanny-state choke hold over the rest of us all conservative, moderates, or liberals. People should lose sleep over who their mayor and governor are not have a nationwide cult-vs revolution showdown every-time the white house changes hands.

I’m sure Obama would nominate Lenin if he were still alive. Have you seen how Obama poses just like Lenin whenever the teleprompter gives a speech?

3 Words: Self-Righteous Chin Jut (or is that 4?)

  5. Food stamps, housing, healthcare paid for? Freedom of speech and property rights limited? High tax rates. The other side has the slaves. Us.

Frnak. c’mon. He? She? Knowing Obama it will be an it. Constitution? How about a specialist in the Feminist Necromicon?

  6. I figure this is a good time for Obama to be choosing the next Justice.

Apparently understanding the Constitution is hard, so since nobody cares what it says anymore, the next Justice doesn’t really have to be smart enough to understand it.

So if the next Justice can say, “Well, wearing a bucket on your head is the law of the land” and we’ll all have to wear buckets on our heads.

    Just like Obama.

Now I see his devious plan.

  7. I think this Judge retiring is beneficial to conservatives……it acts as part of the bridge needed to keep focus through the summer months. If this election goes bad all the ingrediants for civil war in the pot, all that’ll need to happen is to “stir”.

  8. All this talk about judges and what not there should be some got dern basic qualification and the one I’d vote for is these “people” should have to be able to recite the constitution and bill of rights if asked (AND IN ENGLISH) and should at least know the broad strokes of the ammendments and such. Oh and on the other suubject I was in the ARMY and the military is probably 75%-80% good, hard working, mama loving, god fearing, TRUE AMERICANS we got your back

If you can read this thank a teacher. If its in English, thank a VETERAN.
