This is the first year both my brother and I are full time salaried employees, so we spent last night comparing how much money the government steals from us in a given year. With the ammount of money I’m making, federal and state taxes are not an outrageously large percentage. What I get pissed about is social security and medicare/medicaid – there’s several thousand dollars a year that get’s taken for absolutely no benefit to me in government services.
I didn’t think about how leap years affect the level of confiscatory taxation.
