The President Won’t Touch Decisions Like This

President Obama said that canceling White House tours was “not a decision that went up to the White House”.

Why? Did the tour guides ask for extra security?

  1. The ‘follower in Chief’ President Obama talks it up then leaves others to do the work and clear up the broken promises!
He straddles the fence and plays it safe. His gift of gab has lulled the low information folks and one eyed liberals into a false sense of security! The President gives lip service and speaks with forked tongue! Ex Democrat

  2. Imagine all the wasteful Government spending for non essentials and they target valued programs involving children etc,. A sad case of priorities prevails in the Obama administration. Don’t insult our intelligence, the President does what he wants when he wants to, in spite of the constitution etc,. Of course the White House could continue the visits! For starters the Obamas could stop being so self indulgent and cut back on their lavish vacations. Their attitude is to do as they SAY to”share the wealth” but not to do as they do! Such poor leadership leaves much to be desired, God help America! Ex Democrat

  3. Yeah, there is nowhere else the government can cut costs:

Senate’s Barbershop Said To Clip Taxpayers
By Lynn Hulsey / Dayton Daily News / Thursday February 14, 2013

DAYTON — America’s taxpayers are paying a hefty price for the well-groomed appearance of U.S. senators and their staffs.

Since 1997, the Senate Hair Care shop consistently has run annual deficits of about $340,000, a taxpayer subsidy that keeps growing.

Critics point to the salon as an example of members of Congress living a lifestyle far removed from that of most of their constituents: On top of $174,000 salaries, they get health-care and pension benefits, and the public pays for their world travel and production of self-promoting newsletters and professionally recorded audio and video pieces.

Last year, the Senate Hair Care barbershop/salon ran a $401,000 deficit providing $20 cuts to senators, staff members and members of the public who visited the shop in the basement of the Russell Office Building . . .
    . . .
The legislative-branch budget has grown 73 percent since 2000. Although Congress cut funding by 2.7 percent in 2011 and 5.2 percent last year, the 2013 appropriations request of $4.5 billion is up 4.8 percent over 2012.

  4. …Biden’s hotel bill (just the hotel…not the $321,000 Limo.s, meals, etc…) in London was just under A HALF A MILLION DOLLARS !!! Maybe someone could have cut some corners there, and still allow Americans to tour THEIR house.
