Not Even a War, Just a Major Fight

Testifying in the Senate, General John Paxton, assistant commandant of the US Marine Corps, said “I worry about the capability and the capacity to win in a major fight somewhere else right now.”

What worries *me* is that ISIS *doesn’t* worry about that.

  1. Wow…why not just tell the whole filthy world that we spend so much on welfare that we can’t defend ourselves….oh wait, he just did. Good move, what’s next, telling everyone in Mexico…oh that’s right, they’ve done that too. Well, at least the next “president” will be a communist, that should fix everything.

  2. America’s Military Is in Much Worse Shape Than You’d Think

General Mark Milley, chief of staff of the Army, shared his worries with Congress, explaining that the Army would be able to handle a serious conflict but “not at a level that is appropriate for what the American people would expect to defend them.”

. . . The Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Robert Neller, when commenting on the ability to meet requirements in a major conflict, said the Marine Corps “would be able to do that but probably not within a timeframe that current plans call for [them] to arrive to participate in that conflict.”

No disrespect to the Corps, just the civilian leadership:

    From withdrawals of President Pathetic
    To stand-downs at Tripoli
We will fight our nation’s ‘Kinetic
    Events’ — eventually.
