Boycotting the Super Bowl has saved me a lot of agita, but left me feeling a little like a Jewish fellow on Christmas. I should have gotten some pals to go out with me for Chinese food and a movie.
I think you overcomplicate the simile. Just say you feel like a Jewish fellow on Super Bowl Sunday.
I used to go to movies every Super Bowl Sunday. I saw “To Live and Die in LA” in a theater all by myself.
I wasn’t boycotting – I just don’t care about it. And I’m not even Jewish.
My folks dragged me to the Ice Capades on Super Bowl Sunday. Once. Once.
Strictly speaking, I had no dog in the fight, but I am schadenfreudally pleased by the outcome of Super Bowl 52
