Having finished “The 25 most popular icebreaker questions based on four years of data” and enjoyed the results, I’m moving on to a new list:
76 Fun Icebreaker Questions (Not all of which will be used, since some are either/or questions, which are boring.)
Your mission: answer the question in the comments with a good story.
If you don’t have a good story, you are encouraged to make one up.
What was your favorite birthday or Christmas present?
The “Firefly” prequel/reboot “Miranda”, which finally gives me the satisfaction of watching characters play in the Firefly universe, under the direction of Joss Whedon.
I haven’t gotten it yet.
While we’re doing prequel/reboots, tell Iger I need a director’s cut without Midichlorians or Jar-Jar.
Erector set. Christmas, 1959 or 1960. Started me down the road to nerdvana, or, at least, pushed me a whole lot farther down the road than I already was.
For Christmas 1995, the first Christmas after the divorce was final, my children, ages 12 & 9, got together and bought me the 60th anniversary edition of Monopoly.
I mention the timeframe around the divorce to emphasize that their mother was NOT involved.
That was the first gift “from the children” that was fully and completely from them. Nothing can top that.
My favorite Christmas present ever — I got it when I was probably about 5 years old — was a Joe Palooka “bop bag.” That’s the current term for an inflatable punching bag that always returns to upright. It was so much fun, I thought it must have cost a million dollars, not the $1.87 it probably actually cost.
The “Firefly” prequel/reboot “Miranda”…
Huh? Do you mean the movie Serenity? It’s a sequel.
Nope… Just me being snotty and ungrateful about having to settle for a movie instead of a second season of Firefly.
At this point, I’d be happy for anything set in that universe.
I be happy with anything set with Morena Baccarin.
