Now trending: utility companies sending drones out instead of people to inspect their infrastructure after a power interruption.

  1. It’s gonna change the safety briefings at electric utility companies too. Instead of making sure you air test your gloves daily, you’re going to make sure the drone’s batteries are up and the fail-safe return (if control or GPS is lost) coordinates are locked-in.

    No social security taxes on drones; no fatalities, but can they work in 40 mph winds, which are the current limits for linemen?
