Huh. Wichita Lineman is gonna need a rewrite…
I am a line drone for the county
and I fly the main roads
searching from the sky
for another overload…
And you’re flying me by wire.
And you hear my rotors whine
And the line drone from the county, is level and fiiiinnnnnnnne.
It’s gonna change the safety briefings at electric utility companies too. Instead of making sure you air test your gloves daily, you’re going to make sure the drone’s batteries are up and the fail-safe return (if control or GPS is lost) coordinates are locked-in.
No social security taxes on drones; no fatalities, but can they work in 40 mph winds, which are the current limits for linemen?
Whatever happened to Amazon’s plan to deliver packages by drone?….wait…..and pizza too!
