Beethoven died 13 years before my house was built.
Its really been interesting living in a house that gives me the feeling of physical contact with things that happened so very long ago. It amuses me to put events like this into the context of how old my house was when it happened. Someone could have been sitting next to my fireplace reading about how Lincoln had been shot. Hell, the company that supplied most of the powder for the civil war was right up the street. Could be that someone in my house worked at the factory that made the powder that shot Lincoln. Oh damn. My house might be responsible for the death of Lincoln. This is dark. This is very dark.
