It would be kinda cool if McCain loses to Obama because of the youth vote, because then he can say this is as his concession speech:

And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!

Of course, this will never happen... primarily because the youth vote will never turn out. You might as well count as the Loch Ness monster vote as rely on the youth vote. Youths are too lazy to vote, but they're also so stupid you don't want their votes in a functioning democracy. So it all works out in the end.

Of course, it's implied I'm exempting IMAO readers in this (who probably skew quite younger than the electorate at large). If you're young and care enough to follow politics, you are probably going to vote anyway and don't need some MTV special to motivate you. It's just that these youths (I was one -- or still am at 28) are few and far between.
