Friday Night Open Thread: Absolute Gibberish. Not Only From Joe

Joe Biden cannot express his thoughts. This is a known problem.

I’ve never heard of the website below before, but IF they are telling the truth, it raises a new question.

Biden Speaks Absolute Gibberish at FEMA Meeting – ‘But, Uh, There’s, You Know’
Conservative Brief | 5/25/21 | Martin Walsh

Something is clearly wrong with Joe Biden.

While speaking at a roundtable hurricane briefing from FEMA, Biden began by pushing talking points about how he “insists on nothing less than readiness” and that he plans to double the money the U.S. government will spend to help communities prepare for extreme weather events.

When he attempted to give his thoughts at the FEMA meeting, that’s when things got a little jumbled.

“But, uh, there’s, you know, there’s to be, you know, beginning, uh, this effort for 2021 is, uh…” Biden stumbled.

“I think we’ve learned a few lessons from last year, as well. There’s help, as so, uh, we, you know, being there to help, clear roads, rebuild main streets, uh, so that families can get back to their lives, uh, that’s what FEMA does every single day,” he added.

Where are all the transcripts of what Biden says?

Trump’s speeches, sayings, and press comments were posted religiously by the White House.

CNN, CNBC, and AP accounts of this speech bounced around — avoiding this section of the speech — reporting far more coherent sentences he may or may not have uttered.

And so:

If the White House were to post transcripts of Biden’s comments, would you trust them? Would the transcripts include all the “um”s and other lost trains of thoughts? Or would they just publish the beginning and the end of the sentence, and hope they somehow . . . c’mon, man! . . . matched?

I hope someone compares a video of a Joe speech with its official transcript, for laughs. I’m pretty sure the laughs would be there.

  1. We all know Joe is past his prime, and he wasn’t all “There” in his prime either. The Oligarchs who now run this country don’t care. The Bureaucracy will bureaucratize and the Information services will obfuscate.

  2. This is Canada’s Top Ten List of America’s Stupidity…Canada’s version of David Letterman’s “Top 10”: Only in America… Could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 a plate campaign fund-raising event.

Only in America… Could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they had a black President, a black Attorney General and roughly 20% of the federal workforce is black while only 14% of the population is black. 40+% of all federal entitlements goes to black Americans, 3X the rate that go to whites, 5X the rate that go to Hispanics!
Only in America… Could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner (the former head of the Treasury Department) and Charles Rangel (who once ran the Ways and Means Committee), BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.
Only in America… Can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.
Only in America… Would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege, while they discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just ‘magically’ become American citizens.
Only in America… Could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country’s Constitution be thought of as “extremists.”
Only in America… Could you need to present a driver’s license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.
Only in America… Could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. Oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).
Only in America… Could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a trillion dollars more than it has per year – for total spending of $7 Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn’t have nearly enough money.
Only in America… Could the rich people – who pay 86% of all income taxes – be accused of not paying their “fair share” by people who don’t pay any income taxes at all.
