If I’d have said that, I’d have been called a racist…

Just sayin’…

  1. Ungrateful capialist pigs! Lord Obama will prevail. When he nationalizes (sic ALL) US industry, then everyone will have to clap, cheer, and perform national service while making mandatory massive investments in the New! Improved! markets. The stock market will be regulated, and will not be allowed to dip…plunge…..or react in any negative fashion. The Treasury will just print money and order the market to go up every day.

    This is GREAT! Who knew it could be this easy?

  2. Does this mean that investers are being niggardly with their money?

    No, he’s just calling a spade a spade.

    (And before someone goes high and to the right, in this instance the word “spade” refers to a type of
    shovel!)

  3. American blacks overwhelmingly vote liberal == socialist. It is the gimme gimme gimme philosophy. So indeed I am calling this Obama’s stock market. Socialism never has worked and never will work.

    A better way to look at things is thus: Assume everything is just one form of capitalism or another. ( since it is true )

    Capitalism with High ethical standards === Optimum Capitalism

    Socialism = Optimum Capitalism + cronyism + theft + shrinkage + low ethics …. and eventually decays into Communism

    Communism = Capitalism + authoritarianism == Monarchy

    Since we just inaugurated King Obama you can guess where we have descended to.

  4. The economy is getting cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey (this is actually a naval term from the age of sail).
    I guess the jig is up. (origin lost to history 200 years ago, but probably a fishing term).

  5. Frankly, in my experience it’s one of those terms that’s so outdated and rarely used (at least in my area), I’d never have noticed it.

    In my experience, spook just means someone who’s a bit creepy to be around, and Al Capone used it to describe himself in that context, saying he was “just a spook” and not a criminal after he was arrested.
