Heading back to the 1960’s for tonight’s Hootenanny. We will be featuring girl groups. Va-va-vavoom! A few repeat groups but damn, they had some good tunes. Enjoy.
Nice that you have an obscure one, “Devil In His Heart” by the Donays on there. I always wondered how the Beatles ever heard that one to do a cover.
I see you had a couple on there by the Crystals. One of their biggest hits, “He’s A Rebel”, was actually recorded by a group called the Blossoms and attributed to the Crystals by Phil Spector.
Here’s a Blossoms song that I really like, but is never heard on any of the oldies stations………

Name that backup singer and get next week’s Saturday Night Hootenany for free!
And that goes for the Damncat too!
Wow. I think I’ve heard all of these, and I know most of them.
I didn’t recognize Walking In The Rain. But all that made me think of one of my favorite comedy variety show skits.
The Pips!

Freaking hilarious!
Scorching tunes, Walrus!
The hootenanny by which all other hootenannies will be judged!
