IMAO Reader Theater: “A Conversation With My Dad”

MarkoMancuso presents: “A Conversation With My Dad”

I hope when Frank J. becomes a dad that he shows a lot more sensitivity and understanding on this topic.

Because he IS going to hear these words at some point.

Take a hippie-punch at fame by creating your own IMAO-worthy video at Xtranormal (“If you can type, you can make movies“). Send a link to harvolson-at-gmail.com and I’ll give it a look. If it isn’t obscene (IMAO is a PG-13 site) and it doesn’t suck too terribly bad, I’ll post it and let the readers throw roses and/or tomatoes at you.

  1. I laughed, I cried, I kissed two minutes goodby! What passion! What angst! You can just see Marko’s pain at not being able to get a Nuke The Moon shirt, I know it well because it’s like the pain I feel at not being able to get a Fred Thompson Punch The Hiipies shirt. Sure, he doesn’t mention the t-shirts but I thought I saw a tiny tear in the corner of his eye. Trust me, the man is suffering for his art. Bravo! Two thumbs up, better start working on your Academy Award acceptance speech, Marko!

  2. Infidel, there was a tear in his eye. You see, his demands for nuking the moon are but a manifestation of hidden, subconscious desires for a t-shirt. His relationship with his father is complex, and at this point in their relationship, Frank is not ready to ask for a t-shirt. The disappointment he received from his previous requests is simply too great for his fragile emotional state. His stated desire to nuke the moon is but a proxy for deeper desires for a t-shirt. Interestingly, his father rejects Frank’s perfectly reasonable desires to nuke the moon. Thus, Frank is compelled to relive the pain of not receiving a t-shirt.
