And always will be, because the Narrative requires that the first African-American president be an unanswerable success, not the SCOAMF that he really was. The first black president will be forever white-washed, because people who voted for him for the sole reason that it was “about damn time” we had a black president, will never accept that racial quotas and the wish to shatter a “glass ceiling” are not valid reasons to elect someone to a world leadership position. (Same thing for gender quotas – we will be hearing forever that the only reason for failing to elect the most obviously corrupt presidential candidate in history, whose sole notable accomplishment in both her private and public careers was the avoidance of criminal indictment, was straight-up misogyny.
