Surveillance footage show the suspect driving from the Martin County Jail parking lot, up the walkway, and through it glass lobby doors. He was stopped by a set of steel security doors further inside.
No one was in the lobby in the crash, and Leedy was taken into custody – after exiting the car wearing a blouse and no pants to pour motor oil on the jail floor, saying he wanted to set it ablaze.
