One of the hazards of running a radio talk show is that sometimes the staff grabs the wrong audio clip.
On the bright side, sometimes it works better that way:
[audio:http://www.imao.us/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/fred-thompson-select-kennedy.mp3][Fred Thompson Show 8-27-09 – 13 sec, 214k]

Are you sure that’s not the appropriate audio? Those seem like traditional union methods of convincing people how to vote (especially in Chicago).
Hahahaha.
I thought Massachusetts selected their Senators by picking from a group of fat, drunken Red Sox fans gathered outside Fenway Park.
I love the quick response, “Well, no, I don’t think they’ll do that”.
Awesome clip.
They don’t pick senators from the group of fat, drunken Red Sox fans, they let the fat, drunken Red Sox fans pick the candidates. Then, if either of them is actually eligible for the job, they make sure that the MA State Republican Committee (a department of the MA State Democrat Committee) won’t endorse them. That’s where the shootings and drills come in.
After that, it’s just the anointing of whomever has the word “Democrat” next to their name on the ballot.
Because the whole process in MA is democratic. The WHOLE process.
All voters in Massachusetts’ Special Election proudly ride to the Polls in the Short Bus.
Next Kennedy
If dead Ted Kennedy were put on the special election ballot , the brainless twits in MA would vote for him
