  1. I’m a firm believer that if you’re going to pay for craftsmen artisan work, then you should be able the name the artisan. Not the brand, but the guy who actually put the blood sweat and tears into making it.

    I have a piece of hand-made artisan work in my home. I can tell you who made it, when it was made, and why I had it commissioned.

    Otherwise, just get your mass produced name-brand whatever and be done with it. Don’t pretend it’s special just because it has a stamp or a signature.

  2. Only belt I own is rawhide, 1/8″ thick, single layer, $20. from a local flea market. It always pisses me off when the stitching fails on a lined belt, they never seem to last very long, Although I guess for $375 0ne should expect more.
