I’ve long known about the motion cure. Whenever I’m feeling blah, a bit of physical movement is my go-to step 1.
I wasn’t impressed with his using “the sea” as a metaphor for the route to sustaining misery led by bad goals and habits. I’ve spent quite a bit of my life on the sea, and I’m never happier anywhere else. But then, I’m of Irish descent and we’re bred to be there.
Wait. WTF am I doing on land right now? I know, I’m procrastinating! Work, money, gardening, family, kids and grandkids… keeping me from sailing.
Who wants to go sailing?
Consistent sleep times is huge. Life is much, much easier if you stick to a rigid bedtime/wake time. A nap is OK – but never more than an hour.
