[30 Days Timelapse at Sea | 4K | Through Thunderstorms, Torrential Rain & Busy Traffic] (Viewer #2,036,919)
The difference between this video and my experience with ocean-crossing is that I never got to see the stars because aircraft carriers are covered in very bright lights

What flat-top were you on Harvey, you salty-dog? I did two deployments on the USS Saratoga CV-60 from 83-86. Underway I saw plenty of stars at night, but that was away from land. I was going to comment that out at sea I could watch the ocean for way longer than 10 minutes. Especially rough seas.
USS Enterprise (CVN65) – I worked down below, so I didn’t get topside often. When I peeked out at night, they were usually doing flight ops.
Although watching an F14 light up afterburners was cool…
So were you Red, Blue or mustard shirted?
Myself, I was a blue and then a mustard.
I worked in the hanger bay most of my time, but did crash and smash on the flight deck for a couple of months.
